Mixed media inspired by Finnabair

This is my second attemt with mixed media. I stumbled upon a Youtube Movie with Finnabair, and I fell in love with the technique. So I gave it a go......
I started with a black canvas

I added some diecuts and used gesso on stencils to get a 3d feel

I found this Beautiful lady when I googled, printed her on a textured paper. Sprayed some mists and Dylusions ink spray to get some shimmer

I added lace and tissuepaper as a dress

...some more lace as a headband and Pearls as a necklace

many, many flowers in her hair, an earring and wings. Some metal trinkets here and there and some Inkagold to highlighten some areas

Gesso on the flowers to soften the colors and black matt gesso around her as a shadow

Some details with diecuts and trinkets

Wooden stars and metal flowers

Wings with Inkagold....

and crackled glaze on some details

This is the finished result

I am really pleased with it ♥

now to figure out what my next mixed media Project would be.....

Spread your wings and Fairy wishes

The new release for Scrapper's Delights this month are two delicate fairies.
I've made two cards with some mixed media.

This is Fairy wishes
I colored tha background with distress from the inkpads. I used paper that I piece together in different layers. Used some crackled clear paint, glaze and enamel dots. The text is from a die from Lawn Fawn. The paper is from Prima Marketing and I also put some wink of stella glitter around the wings.

And this is Spread your wings
On this one I also layered papers that I've cut out from a paper stack from Prima marketing. The background around the fairy is 'dusted' with distress ink - pumice stone. Glitter and then glaze on the wings. Black gesso on the fairys body. Clear crackled paint on the roses some modge podge all around and black gesso to darken the pretty paper. Some vintage buttons in two corners, they also got some black gesso and crackled paint on them.

Art journal/Mixed media magic

I made my first real mixed media/art journaling project and I loved it. So much fun to use paints, gesso, modge podge, stains, stamps and stencils ♥
This is three different digistamps from Scrapper's Delights that I printed on 80g copypaper. Glued them in my notebook with modge podge and then went bananas with all the paints and stuff.

I reaaly like how the mushrooms turned out :o)

This is the beginning of it all. At that point I thought what have I got myself into. But I really really liked the end result. First time ever!!!

With another stamp I made clean and simple card, did the background with my beloved Copics and used clear embossing on the fairy.

You'll find all the stamps at Scvrapper's Delights shop
